Sport, recreation, health >> Dubrovnik Rafting
In the Dubrovnik area you can enjoy rafting on wild waters in untouched nature. We recommend two loactions – River Cetina in Croatia and River Tara in Montenegro.
Tara is a three hour drive from dubrovnik and is a protected National Park as well as a UNESCO site. The River Tara and its surrounding nature are unbelivably beautiful – erosion created a canyon 82km longand 1333 metres deep, making it the deepest in Europe and second in the world afetr the famous Grand Canyon. The best spot for rafting is the lower river course at Šćepan polje. Rafting takes between three and four hours depending on te river flow.
River Cetina certainly doesn't lag behind Tara in the beauty stakes. Cetina is two and half hours drive from Dubrovnik towards the west, close to the old pirate town of Omis. Rafting begins in Penšići, passing through picturesque river cuts, waterfalls and rapids finishing in Radmanove Mlinice. Rafting lasts between three and four hours. More information on Cetina rafting.
