Arriving by train
Dubrovnik doesn't have a railway station. The closest place to which the train goes is Ploče (see map) and from there to Dubrovnik you have to take a coach. The distance is around 100 kilometers. The city of Ploče has daily railway connections with Metković, Mostar, Sarajevo and Zagreb. The journey from Zagreb to Ploče takes around 13 hours.
You can also take the train from Zagreb to Split and then continue to Dubrovnik with a coach. We don't recommend travelling to Dubrovnik by train. The journey takes a long time and it's much cheaper and faster to travel by bus.
